Premium Efficiency Motor Initiative

Motor buyers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont are eligible for rebates on the purchase of Premium Efficiency Motors from SM Service & Technology.

The rebate incentive is available to industrial, commercial, institutional, and agricultural electric service customers.

The motors must be new, three phase induction motors, NEMA design B, 1 to200 HP, ODP or TEFC, 1200, 1800, or 3600 RPM. They can be purchased for instalation or as spares.

The rebate amount varies from $45 to $700, requires minimum nominal efficiencies and is based on HP, speed, and enclosure. Most premium efficiency motors qualify.

In addition, in many states, power companies are also offering rebates on variable speed drives. Check with your utility.
